Obama coming to Colorado for Udall fundraiser

DENVER (AP) — President Barack Obama is traveling to Colorado this week to give a speech about the economy and raise money for Sen. Mark Udall’s re-election campaign.

The president is scheduled to arrive in Denver Tuesday evening and give a speech on Wednesday. Obama later has a closed-door fundraiser for Udall, who is seeking a second term in the Senate.

Udall’s race against Republican congressman Cory Gardner is one of the most competitive Senate races in the country. Gardner has hammered Udall’s support for Obama’s health care law.
