PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) -- The Coast Guard Cutter Legare is back in Portsmouth following an eight-week patrol of the Caribbean Sea.
During a patrol near Puerto Rico, the Coast Guard says the Legare's crew seized 2,500 pounds of cocaine worth more than $35 million after stopping a vessel.
The Coast Guard said Monday that the Legare's crew also participated in training operations, including practicing coordinated ship, helicopter and cutter small boat operations.
