WASHINGTON (AP) -- An actor who portrays President Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Presidential Library in Illinois is visiting Washington to help advocate for museums on Capitol Hill.
Actor Fritz Klein is portraying Lincoln at Museums Advocacy Day on Tuesday morning. The American Alliance of Museums is bringing more than 300 museum professionals from 45 different states to press lawmakers to support museums.
Klein plans to make the case for the educational and economic benefits of U.S. museums.
Klein will also perform as Lincoln for students at Washington's Brent Elementary School on Tuesday. The school has a museum and field studies program to help students take advantage of the many museums in the nation's capital.
