ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- A legislative ethics panel is recommending the House of Delegates reprimand an Anne Arundel County delegate.
The report of the Joint Committee on Legislative Ethics made the recommendation Monday relating to Delegate Tony McConkey, a Republican.
A fellow Republican in the Senate filed an ethics complaint last year, when he said McConkey asked him to support a provision in a bill that would have made it easier for that delegate to repay about $75,000 in penalties to a state real estate fund.
McConkey declined to immediately comment to a reporter after session Monday night. He went into a caucus meeting immediately after session.
