RICHMOND, Va. - First lady Michelle Obama is set to make campaign stops in Hampton and Petersburg as Election Day nears.
She is scheduled to speak at afternoon rallies at Hampton University and Virginia State University.
Michelle Obama is the latest in a string of Virginia visits by the presidential and vice presidential nominees and their closest supporters ahead of Tuesday's election.
Polls show Virginia among the last handful of states where the election is a toss-up. In 2008, President Barack Obama became the first Democratic presidential candidate to carry Virginia since 1964.
