RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- More than $1.7 million in federal funds is being made available to help two Virginia firms enroll uninsured individuals into health insurance coverage.
Rep. Bobby Scott says Advanced Patient Advocacy and Virginia Poverty Law Center were awarded the funds to be "marketplace navigators."
Officials say the "navigators" will serve as an in-person resource for those who want additional help shopping for and enrolling in insurance plans beginning this fall.
They will help consumers understand their coverage options, determine their eligibility, and enroll in new health insurance options.
