RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell is encouraging state employees and others to participate in a bone marrow donor drive.
As part of Virginia Marrow Awareness Month, McDonnell is hosting the drive on Friday in partnership with Be The Match.
The governor says that the drive will help patients find matching donors for life-saving transplants.
The drive is taking place Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Patrick Henry Building at Capitol Square in Richmond.
