Domino’s introduces new gluten free pizza

WASHINGTON – These days, the gluten free craze is just about everywhere. In restaurants and supermarkets throughout the nation, dozens of alternatives are now offered for wheat-based products.

Domino’s Pizza is responding to the growing need and launching a gluten free crust pizza at all of its 5,000 American locations. It is the first national pizza chain to do so.

“Many of our customers have asked for a gluten free crust, and Domino’s is excited to offer a product to customers with mild gluten sensitivity,” reads a Domino’s news release.

The pizza chain warns, however, that the new addition is not intended for those with celiac disease.

“Current store operations at Domino’s cannot guarantee that each handcrafted pizza will be completely free from gluten,” the company says in a statement.
