WASHINGTON - New Year resolutions are quickly waning for many people who just two weeks ago were dead set on quitting cigarettes, exercising more or eating better.

Luckily for people in the latter category, there is some good news: Not all "bad foods" are actually bad for you.

Dark chocolate can leave people feeling less hungry and more satisfied, for example. And coffee can not only help protect against Alzheimer's disease, but also prevent skin cancer.

Men's Health also lists beer, when consumed moderately, as a junk food not to avoid completely.

A study published in the European Journal of Epidemiology found that beer could actually be good for your heart. Beer drinkers are 30 percent less likely to suffer from cardiovascular problems like strokes, heart attacks, and heart disease, according to the research.

And wine can potentially help slow muscle deterioration, in addition to preventing sunburns and providing healthful antioxidants.

So go ahead, enjoy.
