SEATTLE (AP) — A new Amazon.com office building under construction in Seattle will be warmed by the Internet, in a sense.
Heated water from the cooling system at a data center in another downtown building will be piped through Amazon offices and then recycled.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports (http://bit.ly/1yr3ort) the system is being constructed by Eco District LLC, a partnership of Clise Properties, which owns the building with the data center, and mechanical contractor McKinstry, which is designing the water heat transfer system.
