Shopping online personal information is much more secure using a web site's official app, as opposed to using a browser.
Letting cellphones automatically connect to any open WiFi leaves them open to hackers. The same thing can happen when Bluetooth connections are left open.
Don't stay logged-on to accounts for banking, eBay or Paypal. Never choose to allow browsers save user identifications or passwords. Always protect access to smartphones with a passcode.
When getting rid of smartphones, make sure all of the data is erased.
