New way to buy and resell women’s fashion online

WASHINGTON – Fashionistas have a new way to sell unwanted clothing and accessories online.

Whether it’s J. Crew, Kate Spade, or any other new or gently used designer women’s apparel or accessory, Tradesy.com will list it.

The website, which launched in October, says it can turn your crowded closet into cash.

Among the numerous designer dresses, tops, jeans and bags currently listed on the site are a Calvin Klein pea coat for $182, a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag for $310 and a pair of Gucci patent leather pumps for $201.50.

To sell a new or gently used item on Tradesy, users upload pictures of the item, provide essential information and the website’s price engine will determine a value. There’s no charge for a listing.

When the item sells, Tradesy will send you a prepaid shipping kit addressed to the buyer. All the seller needs to do is drop the item in the package and send it off.

Tradesy takes 9 percent of the sale price. The seller receives their proceeds through Paypal.

For buyers, Tradesy promises protection from fakes and frauds and no-hassle returns.
