The little robot that could ... clean the bathroom

Thursday - 8/11/2011, 10:04am  ET

WASHINGTON -- Let a robot do the messy household work like cleaning the icky crevices behind the toilet. The new Scooba 230, sold by Irobot, is small enough to get behind that porcelain foe to wash, scrub and squeegee the floors.

Just fill with cleaning solution, pick a setting and watch it go. Just make sure to sweep and vacuum first, otherwise the little robot will just push hair and dust around.

The Wall Street Journal is a fan of this handy device. The paper's product tester says it's better at maintaining clean than cutting through the grime.

The $300 package includes brushes and cleaning attachments and a virtual wall to keep the Scooba from crashing into hard surfaces.
