EPS came in at $0.50. The four earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $0.45 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $0.50 for Q1 were 19% higher than the prior-year quarter's $0.42 per share. (The prior-year quarter included $0.45 per share in earnings from discontinued operations.) GAAP EPS of $0.44 for Q1 were 49% lower than the prior-year quarter's $0.87 per share. For the quarter, gross margin was 31.0%, 110 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 6.4%, 120 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 3.5%, 470 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $597.2 million. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $0.69.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $2.50 billion. The average EPS estimate is $2.86.
