EPS came in at $1.38. The 17 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ predicted $1.38 per share. Non-GAAP EPS of $1.38 were the same as the prior-year quarter. GAAP EPS of $1.30 for Q1 were 5.8% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.38 per share.

Margin details
For the quarter, gross margin was 43.3%, 20 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 21.6%, 40 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 13.5%, 130 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. (Margins calculated in GAAP terms.)

Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $3.02 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.50.
