On Thursday, General Dynamics announced its Information Technology division has won a $27.3 million contract from the City of Los Angeles, Los Angeles World Airports, to make improvements on the closed circuit television and video management and storage systems at Los Angeles International Airport.

In a press release describing the contract, General Dynamics pointed out that it has already performed multiple contracts on various projects at LAX over the past five years. In the current project, it will design, install, configure, and integrate a modern CCTV system at LAX, including installation of 2,500 cameras and 120 workstations to monitor their video feeds.

General Dynamics Information Technology is the largest of General Dynamics' four major corporate  divisions. In 2012, GDIT brought in more than $10 billion in revenues, accounting for nearly 32% of all revenues the company booked last year.
