For the quarter ended Dec. 31 (Q4), Schlumberger beat expectations on revenues and met expectations on earnings per share.

EPS came in at $1.08. The 30 earnings estimates compiled by S&P Capital IQ averaged $1.08 per share. GAAP EPS of $1.02 for Q4 were 2.9% lower than the prior-year quarter's $1.05 per share.

For the quarter, gross margin was 21.5%, 30 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 17.8%, 60 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 12.2%, 70 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter.
Next quarter's average estimate for revenue is $10.71 billion. On the bottom line, the average EPS estimate is $1.03.
Next year's average estimate for revenue is $45.86 billion. The average EPS estimate is $4.83.
