AMMAN, Jordan (AP) -- Syrian activists say regime forces have attacked a border area with Turkey using helicopters and artillery after rebels captured a crossing point.

The Britain-based activist group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the Ras al-Ain border area was "under siege" on Sunday as tens of rebels tried to hold onto the border crossing.
