Sick passenger in New Jersey does not have Ebola

WASHINGTON — A man who was escorted from a plane in New Jersey on Saturday does not have Ebola, according to a CBS report.

The report, which cited the New Jersey Department of Health, said the man’s symptoms were consistent with a treatable condition unrelated to Ebola. The man will be released with continued monitoring, CBS reports.

Earlier in the day, the man and his daughter were removed from a United Airlines flight that landed at New Jersey’s Newark Liberty International Airport after they allegedly showed signs of illness.

On Friday, a person was hospitalized at Howard University in D.C. with Ebola-like symptoms. Health officials determined that person does not have Ebola.
