MISSION VIEJO, Calif. (AP) — Four people were found dead Tuesday in a home in suburban Mission Viejo in what authorities called a murder-suicide.

The bodies were discovered by Orange County deputies responding to a 911 call by a relative, sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock said.

The dead people were only described as two males and two females. The Sheriff’s Department did not immediately release any information on how they might be related or how they died.

Hallock initially said no suspects were being sought and later disclosed that investigators had determined one of the people in the home had killed the other three before committing suicide.

The bodies remained in the home for most of the day while detectives sought a search warrant.

The house is located in a development called Pacific Hills, a modern neighborhood of two-story, upscale homes on winding streets.

Mission Viejo is a city of about 95,000 in the southern section of Orange County about 50 miles southeast of Los Angeles.
