WASHINGTON -- Authorities in a western Illinois community searched 21 parks after a dozens razor blades were found glued to playground equipment in an East Moline city park.
The razor blades were discovered Monday in the community's Millennium Park after a 2-year-old boy sliced his finger on a razor. The boy suffered a minor cut and his dad treated him at home.
Police Lt. Brian Foltz told the Quad-City Times that officers are "always doing park checks."
No additional blades were found in the parks.
East Moline Police Capt. John Reynolds said the police narrowed the time frame to when the blades were put in the park to between late Sunday night and noon Monday.
Millennium Park's playground was built in 2000.
