WASHINGTON -- Miranda Barbour, 19, and her husband, Elytte, have been charged in the murder a man Barbour met through Craigslist, and police are now checking to see whether she may be a serial killer.

In a recent interview, Barbour claimed she has killed dozens of people. Francis Scarcella of the Daily Item newspaper in Sunbury, Penn., said Barbour told him she "stopped counting at 22" people and that she needed to get the crimes off her chest.

"She was very calm and very meek and mild…very respectful," Scarcella told WTOP.

But Barbour also told Scarcella she did not feel remorseful.

Barbour, of Selinsgrove, Penn., told Scarcella she is willing to help police locate the bodies of those she has murdered.

"I will pinpoint it on a map," she reportedly said.

The Daily Item reported she "offered scant details of her participation in slayings in Alaska, Texas, North Carolina and California."

Police confirmed to the Daily Item that they started working with the FBI and police in other states prior to Barbour's confession.

Barbour has a child who is almost 2 years old, and the father of that child was murdered. Barbour says she had nothing to do with that death, Scarcella told WTOP.

The Daily Item referred to her as a Satanist.
