NEW YORK (AP) -- Janaye Ingram has been named acting national executive director of the Rev. Al Sharpton's organization.
Ingram has led the National Action Network's Washington bureau for two years.
Sharpton announced Thursday that she has been chosen to replace Tamika D. Mallory in the national post.
The group said it will continue to work closely with Mallory. She plans to advocate for issues including women's rights, anti-gun-violence, and "new millennial activism."
