Wednesday - 10/3/2012, 5:43pm  ET

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Police say a burglar broke into the private home of Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley and stole a TV.

Police said Wednesday officers responded to a burglar alarm that went off at Bentley's house in Tuscaloosa shortly before midnight Sunday. No one was home at the time. The burglar entered the house through a window.

No one has been arrested. Bentley spokesman Jeremy King declined comment.

Bentley is a retired dermatologist. He lived in Tuscaloosa before being elected governor and still has a home there. He and his wife now live in the governor's mansion in Montgomery.

Tuscaloosa property records show Bentley's home, located at the end of a cul-de-sac, has an assessed value of $532,000.
