(AP) - PROSECUTION ENDS: In Kansas, Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe drops the remaining 32 misdemeanor criminal charges against a Planned Parenthood clinic in suburban Kansas City, alleging it performed illegal abortions.
CASE HISTORY: The clinic originally faced 107 charges, filed by Howe's predecessor, in what advocates on both sides say was the first known case of a Planned Parenthood clinic in the U.S. facing a criminal prosecution, but 75 of the charges had been dismissed over the past 10 months.
THE REACTION: The clinic's main attorney says the truth has finally come out. But the prosecutor who filed the charges says Howe didn't understand the case and anti-abortion groups are frustrated.
