UNDATED - Everybody thought Sheryl Crow was crazy when she joked about rationing toilet paper a few years ago. But don't say you weren't warned. The folks on the Coney Island boardwalk really have been rationing toilet paper.
Visitors have had to line up to retrieve a few squares of the single-ply paper, The New York Post reports.
To be clear, it only happened in the women's restroom. The men's restroom lacked any toilet paper.
One woman said it's "weird" that someone else decides how much TP you get.
While the Parks Department says it has budgeted for toilet paper and other supplies, bathroom attendants tell the paper that that's not the case and they were forced to ration what they had.
After the report, the parks commissioner ended the rationing of the paper, and the TP was plentiful on Fourth of July.
Just the same, you may want to pack a roll of your own, if you are headed to Coney Island.
