Norfolk wrapping up bribery administrative probe

NORFOLK, Va. -- Norfolk police are wrapping up an administrative investigation of bribes involving city plumbing contracts.

City spokeswoman Lori Crouch tells The Virginian-Pilot (http://bit.ly/1fAsozh ) that the police chief will give the investigation's findings to the city manager soon. The findings then will be share with the City Council and the public.

The owner of the city's plumbing contractor, A.T. Zoby Mechanical, Inc., pleaded guilty earlier this year to federal charges of bribing two city workers in exchange for work. Andrew T. Zoby is serving a 15-month sentence.

Former city plumbing supervisor Michael Brown and former city maintenance supervisor Patrick Lambert, also pleaded guilty to bribery charges.
