Va. girl dies after car hits horse she was riding

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) - Virginia State Police are investigating an accident that killed an 11-year-old horse rider in Stafford County.
Sgt. Les Tyler tells The Free Lance-Star that the horse "got spooked," ran into the road and was hit by a car. The accident occurred Sunday night on Mount Olive Road.
Tyler identified the victim as Yasmine Deleon.
Deleon died at a local hospital. The driver of the car was injured and the horse died at the scene.
