FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - Comedian Drew Carey will be running in this year's Marine Corps Historic Half.
Carey, the host of "The Price is Right," will be the official starter. Rick Nealis, director of the Marine Corps Marathon, says he reached out to Carey after seeing the host slim down.
"A few months back, I saw that Drew Carey was losing weight and changing his lifestyle," says Nealis.
Carey also served in the Marines between 1981 and 1987.
The Marine Corps Historic Half is a 13.1 mile run through the city of Fredericksburg. It's being held this year on May 15. More than 8,000 runners have registered for the race.
