Two hurt in Manassas Park shooting

UPDATE – Saturday 12/22/2012, 9:23 p.m.

WASHINGTON – Police have filed charges against a Manassas man in connection with a double shooting Saturday afternoon.

Manassas Park Police say Blerand Hoxha, 34, of Cabot Court, faces two counts each of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and shooting into an occupied vehicle.

He was being held without bail at the Prince William County Adult Detention Center Saturday night.

Hoxha has a Jan. 17 court date, police say.

Police say a 22-year-old Manassas man and a 46-year-old Manassas Park man were both shot and taken to Fairfax Hospital for treatment. Police did not release the victims’ names or condition.

WASHINGTON – Saturday 12/22/2012, 4:42 p.m. – Police in Prince William County are investigating a double shooting Saturday.

Manassas Park Police were called to a Sheetz convenience store at 8504 Centreville Road just before 1 p.m. for a report of a shooting.

Two people were shot and were taken to Prince William Hospital, police say. Their condition was not immediately available.

Police have a suspect in the shooting in custody and the investigation is ongoing, police say.
