DUMFRIES, Va. (AP) - A statue of the Marine Corps' most decorated member will be dedicated Monday.

The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation installed the statue of Lt. Gen. Lewis Burwell "Chesty" Puller in October at the Semper Fidelis Memorial Park in Triangle. The 8-foot bronze sculpture was donated by the Marine Corps League.

The dedication ceremony is set for 2:30 p.m. Monday at the park adjacent to the National Museum of the Marine Corps. The keynote speaker is Marine Lt. Gen. Richard P. Mills, deputy commandant for combat development.

Puller was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He is the most decorated Marine in history and the only Marine to be awarded five Navy Crosses.
