Dale City man dragged by car on Interstate 95

WASHINGTON – Virginia State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle that dragged a Dale City man up Interstate 95 Thursday evening.

According to witnesses at around 6:50 p.m. a dark colored late-model sedan was traveling north on Interstate 95 when, near mile marker 156, the back passenger- side door opened and a man fell out. There were two black men and one white man in the car.

The vehicle then dragged the man more than 200 feet before being dropped, but the car continued driving.

The victim is a 35-year-old Dale City man. He was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital. His injuries are not considered life-threatening.

Police don’t yet know if the man jumped or was pushed from the vehicle. The incident remains under investigation.
