WASHINGTON - An alleged white supremacist from Manassas, Va., who has expressed hatred and support for violence toward a number of political figures is under arrest.
Douglas Howard Story, 48, is accused of illegally obtaining a fully automatic AK-47, according to Neil H. MacBride, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
Story is charged with making a firearm in violation of the National Firearms Act, which carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
An unnamed source brought Story to the attention of authorities after Story posted on an Aryan Nation website, indicating he was preparing to buy an AK-47 and have it modified to be fully automatic.
Story gave his AK-47 along with $120 to an undercover police officer to modify the gun, according to court documents. He was arrested by the FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force Wednesday.
Story allegedly posted on the site that he planned on ambushing and murdering any law enforcement officer that tries to stop him, if martial law is declared.
Using the screen name "Confederate Brother," according to the U.S. Attorney's office, Story posted his hateful thoughts about minorities including expressing that President Obama and Attorney General Holder should be removed from office "with a 30.06"
