BRISTOW, Va. - A toddler has died, after apparently being left in a hot minivan for hours Friday.
Prince William County Police say 2-year-old Ryan Murphy was found unresponsive, still strapped in his car seat Friday.
Police were called to the 12000 block of Gentle Shade Drive in Bristow around 4 p.m. Friday after the toddler's mom found him.
"It's still early in the investigation, but everything we've picked up so far, it just appears to be a horrible accident," police spokesperson Kim Chinn tells ABC 7.
The child was reportedly last seen alive around 9 a.m. Friday morning.
No charges have been filed. Police say they will continue to investigate.
