Elevation Burger, which recently added some veteran expansion experience, is making more progress on its goal of opening 20 new restaurants by the end of the year.
The Arlington-based gourmet burger chain opened its seventh Elevation Burger location Friday at the One Loudoun project, The Loudoun Times reports. Elevation Burger has two locations in the District and eight restaurants in Maryland. Overall, Elevation has burger now has 35 U.S. locations in nine states and the District of Columbia, plus nine locations in the Middle East.
In March, Elevation Burger raised its expansion acumen by naming Rick Altizer as its new CEO. Altizer is a former McDonald's executive, spending 14 years with McDonald's, eventually serving as a regional vice president and general manager for McDonald's, overseeing 500 franchised stores.
