German pharmaceutical to open plant in Loudoun

The road from a German drug manufacturer to South American customers will soon pass through Loudoun County. Leesburg Times reports German pharmaceutical company Biogrund will relocate part of its manufacturing work to Sterling.

Biogrund’s primary business is film-coating medication. Relocating part of its work to Loudoun will mean less shipping for customers in South America and the United States and a chance to expand its reach. The plant is expected to open in the first quarter of next year.
