Woman robbed in Centreville, Va.

WASHINGTON – A woman was robbed in the Old Centreville Crossing Shopping center Thursday after getting into her car.

The woman, 44, was leaving a coffee shop in the Va. shopping center and had just gotten into her car when she noticed a man standing at the passenger side of her car.

The man showed her a gun and demanded she open the door and hand over her purse.

The woman screamed and the suspect grabbed her purse and ran.

The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as white, in his 20s, with a reddish scruffy beard. He is approximately five-feet-11-inches tall, weighing between 160 and 180 pounds. He wore a black shirt and gray sweatpants.
