Police: Jogger assaulted, robbed by women in Fairfax County park

WASHINGTON – A woman jogging in an Alexandria, Va., park was assaulted and robbed by two female attackers, Fairfax County police say.

Police say the 18-year-old woman was running Thursday at about 11:15 a.m. inside Huntley Meadows Park near the South Kings Highway/Telegraph Road entrance when two people knocked her to the ground, assaulted her and stole clothing and a cellphone from her.

Police say the victim was able to get away from the attackers and sustained minor injuries.

One of the suspects in the attack is described as a Hispanic female, 15 to 25 years old, about 5 feet tall and heavyset. She reportedly wore all black clothing.

Police describe the other suspect as a Hispanic or black female, also 15 to 25 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and with a medium build. She also is described as wearing all black.
