Va. youth group leader charged with sexual battery

WASHINGTON – A volunteer youth group leader in Fair Oaks is charged with two counts of aggravated sexual battery after he allegedly offered massages to the kids.

James West, 23, of Fairfax was not a member of the Kings Chapel Church staff, police say, but volunteered there for several years. He was charged Friday morning.

The investigation into West began in early August after police say they received a call from the parents of a 14-year-old member of the youth group. The caller told police their teenager told them the suspect gave several teens a massage.

The church is located at 12925 Braddock Road in Fair Oaks, Va.
