FAIRFAX, Va. - Fairfax County Police hope their new Twitter account will help them establish greater level of engagement with the public.
The police agency, which serves more than 1 million residents, said Monday it hopes the new account will help them get public feedback and promote a more open culture of engagement.
The agency plans to tweet out news releases and information about public meetings. They also hope to use the site to answer general questions from the public as time allows.
The agency's Twitter handle is (at)fairfaxpolice.
