ALEXANDRIA, Va. - It's the battle of chips and salsa versus salsa on the dance floor.
The Fairfax County Board of Zoning Appeals recently decided not to renew a dance hall permit for Fast Eddie's Billiard Café on Route 1 in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County.
The owner of the restaurant claims a bias against Latino dance culture.
The board tells The Washington Post it's trying to crack down on huge establishments that act as restaurants when really they're nightclubs that disturb local residents.
Similar moves have recently shut down The Star Lounge & Ballroom in Annandale and the Terra E. Mare Bar & Grill in Seven Corners.
