What are the most popular baby names in Md., Va.?

WASHINGTON — In just a few years, you’ll be seeing a lot of “Williams” and “Emmas” in Virginia classrooms.

Those were the top baby names of 2013 and in 2012, according to the Social Security Administration.

In Maryland, the most popular names in 2013 were “Liam” and “Sophia.”

In D.C., the favorites were “William” and “Charlotte.”
