One of the many running gags on Arrested Development is the Bluth stair car. Often driven by Jason Bateman, this unusual vehicle epitomized the Bluth family financial troubles (they had to sell the jet.)

In the 80s, Tuesday nights meant the A-Team (immediately followed by the much underrated Riptide.) Next to Mr. Ts mohawk, the black and red 1983 GMC G-Series van is the most lasting icon from the A-Team.

There are so many lasting images from Miami Vice. Don Johnson, Elvis the alligator, an occasional Phil Collins cameo and pastel suits were the talk of the 1980s. One of the most lasting images of Miami Vice is the car. Sonny Crockets white Ferrari Testarossa led to a whole generation of boys hanging mirrored photos of Ferraris on their walls. To buy a Ferrari today, would cost upwards of 200,000. Do not fret. There are used ones on ebay for less than 100,000

In 1975 everything on TV was in bad color (although you didnt know it.) Everything except for the Striped Tomato, Starskys red Ford Gran Torino. Somehow, through all the beige of 70s TV, the car in Starsky and Hutch was the most vivid red and crisp white you had ever seen. Ironically the producer originally wanted the car to be green and white Camaro, but wasnt able to get one. (Source IMDB)

While the most recent Batman trilogy has its fair share of cool vehicles, there is something special about the 1955 Lincoln Futura. The car actually first appeared in the movie It Started with a Kiss in 1959, seven years before its debut on Batman.

Neither David Hasselhouf nor the voice of Mr. Feeney could sully the coolness of the Knight Industries 2000. KITT was a 1982 Pontiac Trans Am that looked like the offspring of Smokey and the Bandit and Battelstar Galactica. According to the surprisingly high activity level on KnightRideronline.com, there are people that still spend time talking about KITT and the Hoff.

Lets put aside the lack of seatbelts, the blatant disregard for public safety and the dismissal of the laws of physics, the General Lee tops the list for the sheer number of times that it was destroyed. According to IMDB between 256 and 321 General Lee cars where created and mostly destroyed during the series. What boy hasnt done a slow-mo jump with a Matchbox car that was so perfected by the Duke boys. Most people didnt even care when Bo and Luke suddenly became Coy and Vance, as long as they were still driving the General Lee.
