Cuomo announces upstate NY bus tours

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York is launching a new bus service that will carry tourists from New York City to destinations upstate and on Long Island.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced the new I Love New York bus program Wednesday. The service will begin this month with Saturday trips to the North Fork Wine Trail on Long Island.

The bus will pick up passengers near Grand Central Station. The service will be operated by Hampton Jitney, a Southampton-based transportation provider.

Additional trips to upstate ski areas and local festivals are planned. The governor says the service is intended to help more people “discover and enjoy” the state’s culture and recreation.
