Thousands are without power in a portion of North Arlington, where an issue at a substation has left customers without electricity.
According to Dominion Power spokeswoman Le-Ha Anderson, approximately 3,100 customers are affected in the neighborhoods surrounding Lee Highway and Glebe Road. Anderson said something has caused a transformer to go out at the substation on N. Culpeper Street.
“Crews are there patrolling and looking for ways to re-route electricity to restore power to customers,” Anderson said.
Right now there’s no estimate on how long that will take.
A number of traffic lights are dark along Lee Highway due to the outage, and police are on the scene to help with traffic control.
