Students in Va. accused of ‘upskirting’ teachers

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) — Authorities say four students at an Alexandria high school are suspected of using their cell phones to take inappropriate photos and video of female teachers.

The allegations are contained in search warrants filed in Alexandria Circuit Court. Alexandria City Public Schools said Tuesday it takes the allegations seriously and is cooperating with police.

The students at T.C. Williams High School are accused of taking so-called “upskirt” pictures of teachers in two separate incidents in May. The term refers to taking pictures surreptitiously under someone’s dress or skirt.

Court documents show that an 18-year-old student has been charged with a misdemeanor while three others are under investigation.
