WASHINGTON – It’s every foodie’s favorite time of year again. Throughout the region, restaurants are opening their doors and offering prix fixe menus to satisfy most budgets.

Maryland kicks off the season this week with more than 25 eateries participating in Bethesda Restaurant Week. Through July 22, enjoy two and three course lunch menus for $13 and $16. Dinners are $33. Click here for a full list.

Washington Restaurant Week is Aug. 13 through 19 and will feature more than 200 area establishments offering three course lunches for $20 and dinners for $35. See a list here.

Alexandria residents get their taste of the good life just one week later from Aug. 17 to 26. Prix fixe dinners will be $35. The website has a list of all participating restaurants and will post menus next week.

If you’re interested in taking advantage of the deals, make sure to jump on reservations. Spaces fill up quickly at the most popular restaurants.

Also, read menus and reviews in advance. Just because there’s a good deal doesn’t mean the restaurant is worth the trip.

And don’t be afraid to take chances and try something new. Restaurant weeks are the perfect time to be brave and bold.
