ALEXANDRIA, Va. - An Alexandria teen has beaten the competition to win Smashtune's songwriting contest.

Keira Moran went into the last day of voting at a close second, with less than 100 votes separating her from Lucia Sosa.

The T.C. Williams student made it to the top five of Smashtune.com's competition with her original song "When I'm With You."

The winner gets a trip to Hawaii to a four-day songwriting seminar.
