FAIRFAX, Va. - A former barber shop worker faces murder charges in connection with a Belle View shooting that left one man dead and another man wounded.
"The suspect had a dispute with other employees at the barber shop," says Fairfax County Police spokeswoman Tawny Wright.
Wright tells WTOP Hung T. Nguyen, 44, of Annandale went to the Sully District Police station and turned himself in around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Nguyen has been charged with murder in connection with the shooting of Le D. Hoang, 39, of Alexandria.
"Our detectives are investigating further whether additional charges are appropriate," Wright says.
The other barber shop worker, a 38-year-old man, was not seriously wounded in the shooting. Wright says he was treated and released from the hospital Wednesday.
The shootings at the Belle View Barber Shop in the 1600 block of Belle View Boulevard occurred around 2:15 p.m.
Wright said she does not know the specifics of the dispute, but it does not appear to be about his status as a former employee. She says Nguyen "voluntarily" had left his position.
