Living near airports may cause heart disease, stroke
<p> <b>WTOP’s Michelle Basch reports</b><br> <p>Two separate studies published in the <a href="http://www.bmj.com/content/347/bmj.f5752?rss=1">British Medical Journal</a> suggest living near a large, busy airport could increase your risk of a stroke or heart problems. </p> <p>WTOP got reaction from Don MacGlashan with the group <a href=" http://caandc.org/index.html">Citizens for the Abatement of Aircraft Noise (CAAN)</a>, which represents residents in D.C., Maryland and Virginia. </p> <p>More information about Reagan National Airport’s online aircraft noise and flight path tracking system, which is available for resident’s to use and is mentioned in the reports, <a href="http://www.metwashairports.com/reagan/1271.htm ">is available here</a>.</p>
